Additional Information
Initiated by the Killarney Lions Club, Killarney’s first Public Access Defibrillator was placed in College Square in December of 2009 and 24 Representatives of local businesses were trained in its use, including a number of Killarney taxi drivers. As of February 2013 there are almost 350 people trained.
The roll out of the remaining defibrillators is now almost complete at various points around the town.
Training is available to any interested individuals, groups or businesses at various venues, booking is essential and there is a small nominal fee. Training is Irish Heart Foundation certified.
Please see www.irishdefib.ie for further details.
